Susan Conroy Carpenter lived most of her life in the later 1800s-early 1900s in the Woolstock area but was tragically killed in an auto/train collision near Webster City in 1923. She left behind in her possessions, a special item that her son and then her granddaughter kept track of for the next decades. Finally, the item was restored and this summer, the owner donated it to the Heartland Museum!
The Mystery will be on display in the Community Room at the Heartland Museum from 9-noon on December 2, and then can be seen by appointment.
With our LEAD series coming to an end in March, the Clarion Chamber wants to continue to help our local businesses and their owners learn, develop, and grow! We are starting a quarterly series called: "Local Experts Lunch & Learn", of which we will be offering three classes in 2017 over the noon hour. These classes will be taught by local experts who understand their field and want to share their knowledge. View the topics and dates here.
As part of our initiative to bring members together and share thoughts and ideas, we will be holding quarterly "get-togethers" sponsored by members for members. The event could consist of a speaker, a meet-and-greet, discussions topics, etc. Each event could be different!
